Radar Altimeter service

Canadian area
The Radar Altimeter service provides time series of water level measurements for two sites over large reservoirs (LG-2 and LG-3) in the La Grande Complex located in the middle part of the province of Québec, Canada (see figure left).

 
                           
 Example of product
The water level measurements at the “ground” station (provided by Hydro-Québec) are compared with data acquired by the radar altimeter on-board ERS-1 and ERS-2 for the two locations in Northern Quebec from 1995 to 2002. An example of Rivers and Lakes product is showed in the figure below .
